Ringolsby likes Rockies’ decision to keep Weiss

Walt Weiss

It’s the time of year for managerial changes, but in a world where chopping and changing seems to be the default decision, MLB.com’s Tracy Ringolsby hails the Rockies for sticking with manager Walt Weiss. In a post to his Write ’em Cowboy MLB Pro Blog, the Hall of Fame Spink Award winner credits the team with not making a knee-jerk reaction and parting ways with Weiss following a difficult season.

I’m a big fan of stability. Although Joe Maddon is an amazing coach, I was very disappointed that they let go of Rick Renteria. Good on Rockies for sticking to their guns. http://bit.ly/1Ljnq7z

Personally I would have gotten rid of him. the Rockies have been in a slump for a while. they need to get a winning manager
